Logotype and website for the National Seismological Centre of the University of Chile.

In the context of an internal change in the institution, the Seismological Service of the University of Chile (SSUCH), change its name to National Seismological Centre (CSN). This restructuring implies, beside other things, a new logo design and the development of an informative website, paralell to the Seismology web.

The logo geometry starts from horizontal lines v/s vertical-diagonal lines. This last ones, follow the italic letters inclination, wich, supported by the weight of the mayus letters, maximize the continuity effect of the seicmic waves. Within this duality, the CSN capitals are included into the isotype.

The website arises as a way to spread the work, the news and the technical and human components of the CSN, in complement with social networks.

The design respect the basic elements from the standard wireframe proposed by the University of Chile, for the Faculty of Physical Sciences and Mathematics, and its respectives Departments.

The mobile version, on the other hand, is presented as an own contribution from the CSN website, in focus to ease the user navigation in different devices.
